  1. Eligibility: The competition is open to writers of all ages, nationalities, and experience levels. However, employees of Margaret River Short Story Competition, their immediate families, and anyone directly involved in the organization of the competition are ineligible to participate.
  2. Theme: Stories should explore the themes of knitting, community, and the human experience. Submissions that deviate significantly from these themes may not be considered for judging.
  3. Word Limit: Stories must be between 1,500 and 5,000 words in length. Stories that exceed the word limit will be automatically disqualified.
