To ensure a fair and engaging competition, the Knitting Other Stories Margaret River Short Story Competition 2024 has established a set of guidelines that all participants are kindly requested to adhere to:
- Eligibility: The competition is open to writers of all ages, nationalities, and experience levels. However, employees of Margaret River Short Story Competition, their immediate families, and anyone directly involved in the organization of the competition are ineligible to participate.
- Theme: Stories should explore the themes of knitting, community, and the human experience. Submissions that deviate significantly from these themes may not be considered for judging.
- Word Limit: Stories must be between 1,500 and 5,000 words in length. Stories that exceed the word limit will be automatically disqualified.
- Originality: All submitted stories must be original, unpublished works of the entrant. Plagiarism or submitting someone else's work as your own will result in disqualification.
